The Fearless Females blogging prompt for March 2nd is Photograph - post a picture of a female relative.  Who is she, and why did you choose that picture?

This is Emma Gertrude (McMurry) Williams.  She was my maternal grandmother, and the only one of my grandparents I never met.  She died in 1950, well before I was born.  This is the only formal portrait I have of her, and nearly the only picture.  Many of the family photos and such were lost during various moves after her death.  Therefore, I'm preserving this one for future generations.
